The Mid-Atlantic Red Angus Association (MARAA), formerly known as the Mason Dixon Red Angus Association, ranges the central part of the east coast from New York down to North Carolina while including some surrounding states.
The MARAA exists to strengthen ties between cattlemen and cattle-women by uniting members with opportunities to better their knowledge of the industry and promote their passion for the Red Angus breed in our area of the country. We aim to foster new relationships and communication lines amongst our members.
We are dedicated to promoting the Red Angus breed in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic region and across the United States through livestock shows, industry events, member sales and educational events.
Members of the MARAA strive to:
• Breed cattle with characteristics that make them valuable in purebred & commercial operations.
• Work together to promote and market Red Angus genetics.
• Welcome all breeders, of any size, to join our organization.
• Continue effective communication amongst all members regarding association events.
Not only will members be able to network with other like-minded cattlemen and women to develop life-long friendships, they'll also learn ways to improve their operation and assist in the direction of the breed. Membership benefits also include:
